Tattoo healing and fading questions

I had a medium-sized piece done on my shoulder a few weeks ago, and while most of it looks great, there are a couple of lines that seem a bit patchy now that the peeling has stopped. Since this is my first tattoo, I’m not sure if I should just leave it or if I’m supposed to go back to the artist. Is it normal to ask for a fix, and does it usually cost as much as the original session? I want to make sure it looks perfect before summer.

It’s actually very common for certain spots to lose a bit of pigment during the healing process, especially in areas where the skin moves a lot. Most professional shops expect this and have a system in place to help. You should take a look at the https://www.icontattoo.ca/tattoo/touch-up-policy to get an idea of how these sessions are typically scheduled and what the requirements are. Usually, as long as you reach out within a specific timeframe and followed their care advice, they can get those lines looking solid again fairly quickly!
